A Day in the Life of a Prudential Verani Real Estate Agent
Being an independent real estate agent working with Prudential Verani offers a way of life that can lead not only to personal success, but can also allow you freedom and time to build a quality lifestyle for yourself and your family.
Our agents have the flexibility to use their skills to create a success story they can be proud of. At the same time, the structure of the business means that agents do not always have to choose between work and their child’s soccer game.
No day in the life of a real estate agent need be typical. There are no time clocks to punch. No set structure exists other than having the drive to succeed, the knowledge of what that takes, and the organization to make it happen.
A day as an agent might go something like this:
At 7 a.m., it’s time to get up, have breakfast with the kids, and see them off to school. With the quiet time that follows, make a cup of coffee and sit down at the computer. Check your e-mails, check expired listings, confirm appointments, and decide if there are other things you want to take care of today.
By 9 a.m., it is considered a “civil” time of day to begin returning phone calls and making the contacts needed to set up the day’s showings.
Hit the shower.
At the office, review the previous day’s work and take care of any necessary follow up. Return all calls and e-mails.
Now it’s time to set out to meet your first client of the day and show the property you scheduled with them. Repeat until all client obligations for the day have been met.
Somewhere in there, find time to grab lunch.
Do what prep work is needed if any open houses are scheduled for the coming weekend. Go back to the office and again check messages, returning all, before leaving for the day.
If there are any, make note of appointments for the next day and remember to set aside some time to prospect. Add them to your calendar if they are not already there.
Your grumbling stomach tells you it’s time to go home for dinner. If you’re lucky, your partner has taken care of that detail. If not, decide what you will make. There is always take-out.
After dinner, kick back and relax with your family, but not until you have checked home messages to make sure there isn’t anything you missed at the office.
Organization is the key to making this work.
Brush the dog and change the light bulb in the garage; you know, it’s the one you have been promising to change for weeks.
Wake up to a new day. If the weather is sunny, and if by chance all your commitments have been met or scheduled for another time, take the day off. Bring the kids to the beach. Read a book. That’s the freedom of being independent, and we can help you realize this lifestyle.
